^17 (A)Have I taken advantage of you through any of those whom I have sent to you? ¹⁸ I ^(B)encouraged ^(C)Titus to go, and I sent ^(D)the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? Did we not walk ^[a]in the same ^(E)spirit—^(F)in the very same steps?

¹⁹ All this time ^[b]you think we are defending ourselves to you. We speak in Christ ^(G)in the sight of God. ^(H)And all these things, ^(I)beloved, are for your building up.
